Tomorrowland has begun announcing details for its 2011 edition, taking place in Belgium this July.
As this weirdly moving video will tell you, Tomorrowland began as a one-day event in 2005 and has grown bigger every year since. 2011 will be the first year it takes place across three days, and that’s not counting the pre-festival camping party. The bill so far has a healthy share of big name DJs (as you might expect from event with 120,000 attendees), including David Guetta, Dave Seaman, Carl Cox, Sasha and Tiesto.
But fans of more underground sounds will have plenty to look forward to as well. On the house front, you’ve got Matthias Tanzmann, Henrik Schwarz, Dixon tag teaming with Âme and Seth Troxler going back to back with Bill Patrick. Techno purists can get their fix with Ben Sims and Surgeon (as Frequency 7), Berghain’s Marcel Dettmann and Marcel Fengler, who will also play back to back, and Drumcode boss Adam Beyer. Sven Vath and Dubfire have been confirmed as well.
