From This Thursday we present you a new, young and talented lad on EclecticRadio who goes by the name of Mike Hertz! This electrifying name fits the man good, because he’s one of those DJs that just knows what the heck he’s doing to make sure the crowd he performs for gets shocked by his high voltage performance!

Ok, enough with the power-puns. This Thursday new on EclecticRadio: Spectiv, the official Mike Hertz podcast! And we thought since Mike’s new with us, we’re dropping a few questions on him, to find out what he’s all about.

ER :: Mike, welcome to EclecticRadio, and welcome to the #EclecticFamily! Tell us how you gained access into this crazy electronic world?

“I was playing the drums since my 6th birthday and when I reached the age of 13 I decided to do something different. I started to produce my own music at the age of 13. When I reached the age of 16 I decided to put my full focus on house music and start performing as a DJ.”

ER :: Awesome! It’s great that you discovered your talents on a young age. Who are your DJ heroes?

“Fedde le Grand, Sander van Doorn & Nicky Romero are amazing.”

ER :: Every artist, even every person has a dream. What’s your dream?

“My dream is really something all aspiring artists desire: Playing in all countires over the world, starting a label and gaining a spot in the DJ Mag top 100. Or, even get to the #1 spot one day.”

ER :: Apart from a DJ, you’re also a producer. Tell us something about your studio.

“I’m currently working on a MacBook Pro with Logic and a MIDI keyboard. My audio interface is a Apogee Duet which is hooked up to the Event 20/20 bass V3 monitors.”

ER :: I read on your twitter that you went to Ibiza, and not for a holiday but to shoot a video? Tell us about your trip to Ibiza.

‘’I’ve been to Ibiza for a few days to shoot the music video for my upcoming solo single called “The One”! Ibiza was an amazing experience for me, it was beyond my expectations!

ER :: Whats coming from the Mike Hertz studio at the moment?

‘’My new solo single is coming soon so stay tuned and keep an eye out on my facebook and twitter for updates!’’
