Over the last six months European clubbers have turned heads en-mass and embraced a new, highly purified, ultra-refined order of trance. Solarstone’s crusade against trend-driven change in the genre has resonated deep, with tens of thousands rallying under the #PureTrance flag. Launched to rapturous response at lastyear’s Amsterdam Dance Event the movement is now poised to cross the Atlantic.

Next month the ambassador of true trance is set to embark on his first U.S. Winter Tour. Prepare to witness the strength of Pure Trance!

“Pure Trance is a feeling, a passion which exists outside of contemporary musicalfads and fashions”, says Solarstone. “It is the bringing together of millions of fans for whom this music is a way of life. It’s the music itself that really does the talking for Pure Trance though. Not what’s said, so much as what’s heard. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been into trance for 12 weeks or 20 years, when you hear Pure Trance, you’ll feel it… and you’ll know.”

Stop One on this expo tour will be (where else but!) New York City, where on Feb 23rd Solarstone will be making The Big Apple feel just that bit bigger. Pachita in midtown will host the event where Richard will lay down 3hrs of Pure Trance at Pacha’s club-within-a-club.

From there it’s a hop, skip and giant leap over to the West Coast for a deuce of dates. On the night of March 7th its legendary San Fran nitespot Ruby Skye that’ll have its foundations shaken by the force of pure, driven trance. Richard will be expanding the P.T. clan and bringing fellow synth-slinger Giuseppe Ottaviani along with him. Just 24hrs later it’ll be LA’s turn for the same treatment. The Exchange club in downtown is the setting for Awakenings, who’ll be hosting up a storm for Solarstone Pres. Pure Trance.

Next in line will be the newly opened Aston Manor in Seattle, WA, where on Friday March 22nd Richard and Giuseppe will be joined by PureTrance-ologist/underground legend Thomas Datt.

Just 24hrs later the tour reaches its terminus stop. March 23rd sees the spectacular grand finale take place against the balmy backdrop of Miami’s 2013 Winter Music Conference. Roomservice in South Beach will usher in Rich and a full compliment of Pure Trance DJ envoys, including overlord John 00 Fleming, West Coast doyen Kristina Sky and Italian maestro Giuseppe Ottaviani.

Na negen succesvolle edities aan de Maasplassen in Roermond gaat het  Nederlandse Solar Weekend Festival internationaal. Het creatieve, meerdaagse cross-over festival krijgt deze zomer een variant in Noorwegen en op het Spaanse feesteiland Ibiza. Solar Weekend Festival is een eigenzinnig meerdaags festival met een diverse  muziekprogrammering, theater, interactieve bouwwerken en hedendaagse kunst.  Misschien wel één van de meest creatieve cross-over festivals van Europa. Het festival in Nederland vindt plaats op 2, 3 en 4 augustus 2013 aan de Maasplassen in Roermond.

Elk jaar komen 25.000 bezoekers per dag samen om onderdeel te zijn van een experimentele, met elkaar gecreëerde, tijdelijke samenleving waar iedereen welkom is: Solar Weekend Festival. Bezoekers worden op een ware ontdekkingsreis genomen met live muziek en dj’s, een hippiemarkt, spelletjes, bijzondere cateraars, interactieve theatervoorstellingen, toekomstvoorspellers, graffiti-kunstwerken, bouwwerken en nog veel meer creativiteit in alle vormen en maten. Met twee volle festivaldagen en drie prachtnachten op de Solar strandcamping kunnen bezoekers genieten van een maximaal vakantiegevoel.

Solar Weekend Festival Noorwegen

Na negen succesvolle edities aan de Maasplassen in Roermond in Nederland krijgt het creatieve festival nu ook twee varianten in het buitenland. In Noorwegen zal Solar Weekend Festival plaats vinden van 5 tot en met 7 juli op een mooi eiland in de buurt van het standscentrum van de hoofdstad Oslo. Creativiteit en een diversiteit van muziekstijlen zijn ook hier de rode draad en ook dit meerdaagse festival bevat een strandcamping vol verrassingen. Elektronische muziek, hiphop, raggae, jazz, R&B en disco-invloeden door voornamelijk Noorse artiesten houden je drie dagen lang aan het dansen. In Noorwegen lijkt het concept nu al goed opgepakt te worden en stromen de creatieve concepten voor het festival binnen. Eind maart gaan de Early Bird Friend Tickets voor Noorwegen in de verkoop voor €60 euro, waarbij twee tickets voor de prijs van één aangeschaft kunnen worden.

Solar Ibiza Sessions

In september, na de Nederlandse ‘moeder-editie’ op 2, 3 en 4 augustus 2013, trekt het team naar Ibiza voor een heel andere variant. Solar Ibiza Sessions, in het voormalig bungalowpark Punta Arabi Resort in het noordoosten van het eiland, moet van 10 tot en met 17 september een verzorgde week vol kunst, feest en ontspanning worden voor maximaal achthonderd personen. Deze week wordt op zondag afgesloten met een festival met diverse podia en een beachparty, waarbij zowel bands als dj’s op de line-up staan. Voor mensen die al op het eiland zijn, zijn er ook losse toegangskaartjes voor de festivaldag verkrijgbaar. Internationaal talent

Kunstenaars en creatieve geesten uit binnen- en buitenland laten hun gedachten de vrije loop op het festivalterrein en bouwen een week lang aan een creatief dorp. Naast internationale artiesten, trekt het festival steeds meer internationale kunstenaars en is zij dit jaar een uitwisselingsprogramma aangegaan met creatief collectief Fayst uit Berlijn. Het festival, dat bekend staat om zijn Limburgse toegankelijkheid, verwelkomt al een aantal jaren internationale toeristen en backpackers vanuit de hele wereld.
